Adriena Šimotová - Images That Are Neither from Themselves Nor for Themselves: Reflections on Communication in the Artist's Work Mgr. Pavel Brunclík Abstract Adriena Šimotová is an outstanding figure in Czech visual arts and Czech culture in general. Beyond the aspects of art history, it may be useful to address the interpretation of Šimotová's life and work using the interpretive approaches of the philosophical thinking of her time. The focus of the present paper relates to the subject matter which strongly determines Šimotová's art: themes of communication, communicative relations, and the relationship between communication and imagery. This corresponds to the choice of authors whose texts are referred to: Martin Buber, Karl Jaspers, and Emmanuel Levinas. The first chapter addresses the formation of the artist's personality and the development of her creative orientation from her early years to the late 1970s. The second chapter discusses the key moments and elements of her artistic expression in the 1980. The third chapter presents the final stages of her lifelong work. An interpretive approach underpinned by references to selected works by the above authors appears useful. Brain Activity Evaluation Using sLORETA Imaging During Imagination and Induction of Flow State.

Name: Brain Activity Evaluation Using sLORETA Imaging During Imagination and Induction of Flow State The aim of the study: The aim of this work was to use sLORETA imaging to capture changes in the source brain activity before and after a 3-week movement imagination training. With the help of subjective questionnaires, the second goal was to capture and compare the potential progress of the flow state also within the imagination training. Methods: 13 healthy probands in the age range of 20-30 years participated in the study. Brain source activity was measured using a surface telemetric 32-channel EEG device Nicolet TM EEG Wireless Amplifier 32/64 from Natus Neurology. The subjects underwent EEG measurements twice, always before the start of the imagination training and after its end. Measurements were performed identically in the following order: 1) resting EEG: 5 min eyes closed, 5 min eyes open; 2) watching video in VR: 3 min + 5 min pause; 3) imagination of movement: 3 min. The initial measurement was followed by a 3-week home movement imagination training with detailed instructions using VR glasses. Title: Brain Source Activity Changes During the Visual Training of the Imagination Viewed by sLORETA Imaging. Objectives: The research study aims to determine which changes in brain source activity occur before and after an intervention in the form of a three-week visual training of motor imagery. The electrical activity of the brain was recorded using scalp EEG and transferred to the sLORETA program, in which the source brain activity was evaluated. Methods: The research was concluded on 13 healthy subjects aged between 20-30 years. The Czech standardized version of The Vividness of Movement Imagery Questionnaire - 2 (VMIQ - 2) was used for the survey. The electrical activity of the brain was recorded using a scalp EEG Nicolet TM EEG Wireless Amplifier 32/64 by Natus Neurology. The research consisted of initial and control measurements, the measurement included several phases. First, an initial measurement took place, which always included measurements of resting EEG (5minutes eyes open and 5 minutes eyes closed), action observation in VR (3 minutes) and subsequent measurement of the motor imagery with eyes open (3 minutes). The subject of this work is the conceptual sermon The New Cherub (1695), whose author is a prominent representative of baroque homiletics ? Bohumír Hynek Josef Bilovský (1659 - 1725). The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the conceptual imagery which Bilovský employs. The aim is to study the function of conceit and figurative language in Bilovsky's text, especially in regards to the textual strategies of constituting the orthodoxy of Catholicism and the heterodoxy of non-Catholicism.
